Facilities |
Saint Peter's Bourne can welcome up to 25 people, comfortably. The large communal room with its bright conservatory and relaxed atmosphere overlooks the rear gardens. It is used by many groups for more informal and relaxed discussions and activities. The Grahamstown Room offers a more formal setting. We can usually arrange presentation equipment on request. Please ask when you book. Enjoy an overnight or short-stay with us. We can provide accomodation for up to 13 people: 7 single rooms, 2 twin rooms, and 1 room with small double. The Chapel and Library offer quiet areas for individuals to study, reflect, or simply spend some time alone. We encourage people to drop in for a few hours, but please phone beforehand to make sure we can make suitable arrangements for you. Access to Internet can be arranged with the warden during your time with us. Petroc Bookshop carries popular titles on Christian thinking and study material by various authors. Prayer books and devotional aids such as 'holding crosses', candles and greetings cards are also sold here. |

Regular visitors also include small businesses, local government, schools, colleges and charities who want to gather in small groups and get away for for a short while to consider key issues concerning the future. church groups |
Saint Peter's Bourne is used by a number of parishes and church groups for meetings, studies, special worship and celebrations. Very often, getting away from the usual parish hall or meeting room, results in people experiencing something new and thinking new thoughts. This can be very valuable where your church or praying community needs to think through its future or decisions for the future. If required we can help you arrange facilitators or retreat conductors to ensure your time with us is productive and rewarding. |

Training for ministry in Edmonton |
Our commitment to developing gifts and vocations within Edmonton is very much in the ethos of the London Challenge. We actively encourage all people within the diocese to explore their vocations and what God may be calling them to be as they grown in their relationship with Christ. The Christian Studies Course lasts two years with an optional 3rd year for people who want to look at particular aspects of what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century. The two-year course explores Old and New Testament studies, church history, liturgy, pastoral care and is designed to help you discover our Anglican roots in the Church of England. During this time, students of all ages not only learn about the rich heritage of our faith, but approaches to Christian study and individual growth. It is during this time that some students start on a journey towards discovering they have a certain vocation to serve God in a particular way. This is the most important goal and you will find lecturers and support to help you realise what an exciting discovery this can be. The 3-year Readers' Course runs in parallel with the Christian Studies curriculum and leads to a BA in Pastoral Theology following guidelines and criteria set by Lampeter University. |
